Yes, I've considered blogging about this report. I'd need to learn some more details to make it worthwhile for me to write something.

Agree, our impact on the biosphere is much more than climate change. The sheer volume of information on the subject is just overwhelming. There are some standout reports and this looks like one of them. By now we know the problem and overall know what we need to do. The problem is the will, personal and societal, to do it. As mathematicians you may be faintly amused by https://www.1biosphere.net/2021/03/23/the-idea/ But in a nutshell: All those reports are well and good. To create real change we need to create simple stories to influence people to vote - to demand societal change. To create those stories we need data experts and mathematicians to dig through the information overload and allow the story tellers to come up with a simple (!) story - and maybe a diagram to match...

On a similar note you may be interested in the “The Economics of Biodiversity: The Dasgupta Review”. I reviewed it briefly at https://www.1biosphere.net/2021/04/16/971-2/

@johnbaez cited the Dsgupta report in his brilliant 'Mathematics in the C21st' talk at the topos Institute in March this year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUqqQXFTHUY. If the first part of the talk which is exclusively aimed at mathematicians was cut the talk would make an excellent link for the front page of this project. What do you think @DavidTanzer?

The second part of the Math in C21 very much resonated with me.
How can we take meaningful action, or instigate action, based on all the available scientific data? Is there a way for category theory to play a role in defining, parsing, analyzing the complexity of this subject - and so make it available to a wider audience?
