Jacob Biamonte and I just finished our draft for a blog article about a Noether's theorem for doubly stochastic Markovian systems. We show that in a continuous-time Markovian system where the generator is symmetric (and thus a Dirichlet operator), one regains the usual "quantum version" of the Noether's theorem instead of the more complicated "stochastic version" John and Brendan presented in a recent paper.

You can find the article here:

We feel it's pretty close to finished, all comments are welcome.

It looks great! Sorry to take so long to reply - I've been massively distracted by writing about Operads and the Tree of Life.

Could you please change the formatting as described in

? For example, blog entries use HTML rather than Markdown; there are also other differences.

Apart from that it seems ready to go! I will probably make some small last-minute changes in the process of posting the article.

By the way, the term "

ChallengeProblem" makes it sound as if you haven't been able to solve this problem. I usually call these things "puzzles".`It looks great! Just an FYI: the prior thread related to this topic is here:

I polished up the blog article, gave it a title short enough to fit into one line of the blog, and published it on Azimuth:

If any of the original authors doesn't like any of the changes I made, or I made mistakes, please let me know and I'll fix them!
