Anybody catch the subtext of the movie in that even though the scientists can accurately predict the trajectory of the comet as it hurls toward a collision with Earth, that they can't predict the occurrence of the next El Nino?

Apparently, we understand Newtonian physics when solids are involved but not when it comes to fluids.
